TRIMBAKESHWAR

Trimbakeshwar is an ancient Lord SHIVA temple and is located at a place called TRIMBAK.which is 28 km from Nasik by road and is at source of Godavari river..It is one of the twelve auspicious Jyotirlingas of India.It is also known for SIMHASTHA KUMBHMELA.The river Godavari originates from Bramhagiri Hills,goes to Gangadwar and then to Kushavart Lake where the SHAHI SNAN during Simhastha Kumbhmela takes place. .All the devotees visit Trimbakeshwar during Simhastha kumbhmela and throughout the year.The extraordinary feature of Trimbakeshwar is, it has three faces embodying Lord Brahma,Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva.The Jyotirlinga is covered with jeweled crown on every monday.Trimbakeshwar is the only place in India where NARAYAN NAGBALI can be performed.Other ritiuals like Tripindi and Kalsarpa shanti can be performed here.For all these rituals advance intimation is necessary.This temple is built by Nanasaheb Peshwa.The construction of temple lasted for 32 years and was completed in year 1786.Trimbakeshwar is a centre for Vedic Gurukuls with ashrams and muths devoted to Asthanga Yoga,the Hindu art of living.

Shirdi

Shirdi is well known for world famous Samadhi Mandir of Shree Sai Baba.It is 83 km from nasik by road.Shree Sai Baba(unknown-15 oct,1918) remains a very popular Saint in India and worshipped by people around the world.Shree Sai Baba Santhan(trust owned by temple) offers food and accomodation at minimum rate to devotees.Shree Sai Baba interpreted and combined the religious texts of both faiths Hindu and Islam.Shree Sai Baba attained Samadhi in Shirdi on 15 oct,1918.Shirdi is around 84 km from Aurangabad by road.

Shani Shinganapur

 Shinganapur now popularly known as Shani Shinganapur is located at 70 km from  Shirdi by road.It is famous for Swayambhu idol of lord Shani(Saturn) in black stone.There is no roof built over the idol as,Shree Shani maharaj did not like it.Also houses in shinganapur have only doorframes and no doors or locks on them for safety.Villagers here believe,that no crime occurs in the village due to presence of shri shani maharaj.Shree Shani maharaj is worshipped with oil in good quantity.

Vani

Vani is situated at 60 km from Nasik by road.Vani is famous for SaptShringi Goddess Temple.SaptShringi (the Goddess) is one of the three and half Shakti Peethas(prominent seats of the Hindu Goddess) of maharashtra.The temple is situated at the top of the hill,where a devotee can reach by climbing stairs,ropeway or by doli.Every year lakhs of devotees visit vani to pray the goddess and take her blessings.Saptashrungi is generally regarded to be a half Shakti Peetha.This temple is one among the 51 Shakti peethas located on the Indian Subcontinent and is a location where one of Sati's limbs, her right arm is considered to have fallen when grief-stricken and agitated Shiva was carrying her dead body round the world on his shoulders, and Vishnu had cut her body into pieces with his Sudarshana Chakra.SapthShringi goddess temple is surrounded by seven hills

     Nandur Madhyameshwar(BirdSanctuary)


Nandur Madhyameshwar is beautiful Bird sanctuary located at 60 km from         Nasik.Every year  thousands of birds come to stay here in winter(Nov-Feb)           season.Nandur Madhyameshwar has  Dam constructed during British era.It           also has Watch Towers for bird lovers
